OFFENSIVE LINEMAN JAKE PIOTROWSKI SIGNS TWO-YEAR CONTRACT
Montreal – The Montreal Alouettes announced on Tuesday that national offensive lineman Jake Piotrowski signed a new two-year deal with the club.
Piotrowski (6’4″, 293 lbs.) played in all 18 games with the Alouettes last season, seeing the field when the team lined up with six offensive linemen as well as replacing injured players throughout the season. The Shanty Bay, ON native started the last game of the 2015 season at left guard.
“Our drafting and development plan with Jake has progressed nicely over the last three years,” said Alouettes General Manager and Head Coach Jim Popp. “After seeing action in all 18 games last season, he is in a position to vie for a starting job in 2016. Jake’s contract renewal is important for the future of our offensive line.”
The 24-year-old played for the University of Guelph Gryphons from 2010 to 2013 before being drafted in the fifth round (41st overall) by the Alouettes in the CFL Canadian Draft in 2013.
