Game Day – 108th Yates Cup

Just a few last minute things to share.

Guelph Mercury – Gryphons loose for Yates Cup clash with Western. It sounds like the Gryphons are in the right frame of mind.

“We’re as healthy as we could ever hope to be at this time of the year and the guys are loose,” Gryphon offensive co-ordinator Todd Galloway said. “The guys are a lot more loose than they have been in years past. There’s a confidence and an expectation now that this is where we want to be. We just have to execute.”

London Free Press – Mustangs D holds the key no matter who is the QB

This year after an average start, the Mustang defence has been outstanding. They’ve carried the team in the final two games of the regular season and against Laurier in the first game of the playoffs. While there may be times in the game when the other team makes some headway against them, the Mustangs have learned to make adjustments and that’s always the sign of a well coached, well prepared unit.
