Toronto Argonauts General Manager Jim Barker broke the news Monday night on TSN radio’s Argos All Access show. Former Gryphon QB Chris Rossetti was leaving his Director of Player Personnel position with the Argonauts to join the Miami Dolphins front office. Barker spent more than two minutes (starting after the 22 minute mark) praising Rossetti and the work he had done through four seasons with the Argos. Barker told host Mike Hogan that Rossetti actually had four NFL job offers to choose from.
Rossetti joined the Argos as a student intern in May 2011. In May 2012 Rossetti returned to the Argos for another summer internship. But in August rather than return to the Gryphons for a 5th year he stayed on with the CFL team in their Player Personnel department. Months later Rossetti was given the title of Player Personnel Assistant. In December 2013, Rossetti received another promotion to become the Argos’ Director of Player Personnel.
