Their 3-day Rookie & QB Camps are done. Now Cam Walker, Alex CharetteDan MacDonald and Jazz Lindsey get ready for regular CFL training camps start on Sunday, May 31 when veterans arrive.

Argos Cam WalkerA week ago Friday Dan MacDonald signed with the Toronto Argonauts. Then, Monday the Club announced the signing of defensive lineman Cameron Walker … The two-time, first-team OUA All-Star compiled 37.5 defensive tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, five sacks and two forced fumbles with the Guelph Gryphons last season.

Meanwhile the Montreal Alouettes signed Guelph’s pass-catch tandem of Jazz Lindsey and Alex Charette. Charette was signed to an unusual four-year dea. Lindsey is with the Als as part of the CFL’s QB Internship Program, similar to last season when he was in the Toronto Argonauts training camp, but he has been signed to a contract because he is an eligible free agent, not an underclassmen.

Among the CFL veterans reporting to training camps tomorrow will be former Gryphons Rob Maver [Calgary], Ryan Bomben [Hamilton], Cam Thorn [BC], Jeff Finley and Jake Piotrowski [Montreal].
