Biographical Info:  6’5″ 270 – Jacob Hespeler SS [Cambridge ON] & Cambridge Lions of the OVFL

Position: Offensive lineman – he appears to have the length necessary to play tackle which is where he has played to date but I think he could also move inside to guard.

Recruit E StarczalaAccomplishments: A two-time OVFL All Star – 2012 at the JV level and 2014 as a Varsity player … named a WCSSAA 1st team All Star in 2013 … helped to lead Jacob Hespeler Hawks to a 9-1 record, the school’s first ever WCSSAA championship and a national #21 ranking according to CFC … Starczala was a GHR Rising Stars All Star in 2013 … was named Jacob Hespeler’s Rookie of the Year in 2012 … a team captain for both Jacob Hespeler and Cambridge this past season … played high school basketball in 2014.

My Take: I haven’t seen any video highlights for Starczala but I did watch him in person twice this summer. Starzcala isn’t too far away from being able to push some veterans. I do think he would benefit from a year under S&C Coach Foley as I believe he can get stronger and can definitely add some good weight to his frame. He is very mobile and don’t think he has a problem playing at 290+ in the future. I like that he has played on a couple of very good and well-coached HS & OVFL teams. I expect Starczala will be a contributor on the O-Line in the not too distant future.
