Accomplishments: A Top 100 ranked prospect on CFC’s Spring 2014 and Pre-Season 2014 lists … Played for Team Ontario West in 2011 and Team Ontario in 2012. Named a team captain and won a Bronze medal at the Football Canada Cup in ’12 … played for the Team Ontario Selects in Texas in Feb ’13 … in 2012 a GHR Rising Stars All Star and named team captain … 5-time team captain and 3-time OVFL All Star with the Cambridge Lions. The Lions Defensive MVP in 2010 & 2011 … multi-year captain and 2-time Def MVP at St Benedicts.

My Take: Seems like a tackling machine in the Adam Dunk/Jake Reinhart/John Rush mold which could mean early playing time as a special teamer. All 3 of those Gryph players also were leaders who became team captains. Everything in his past indicates Walden has what it takes in that department also. Watching his video I see a very effective blitzer who makes loads of plays behind the L-o-S. He looks to have a great burst of speed as he closes so quickly on QBs, RBs and Receivers in the open field.
