Winter Camp update – day 3

Winter camp - practice #3

Winter camp – practice #3

♦ It’s another beautiful day in Central Florida. Sunny skies and temperatures are higher than forecast just two days ago. As a result it looks like some guys are already sporting red necks. I’ve seen photos that prove when the practices and meetings are done players are enjoying the hotel pool and getting around to some of the local tourist attractions.

UCF B-Ball♦ Players are going to take in an NCAA basketball game tomorrow night at the nearby University of Central Florida – UCF Knights vs Cincinnati Bearcats. The game is a near sell-out (fewer than 100 of 10,000 tickets remain today) as the Knights welcome the #7 ranked Bearcats (23-3) to town.

♦ Everything I’m hearing is that things on the practice field are going great. I’ve seen some brief video clips, but not in a format I can share here. Check out http://instagram.com/gryphonfootball to see a couple of them, plus a message to Canadian Olympian Tim Randall. There are lots of pictures on Facebook with lots of smiling faces.

As always the Gryphons devote plenty of time to work on special teams. Day 3 - field goal practice.

Gryphons in elevator♦ Eight offensive linemen and a running back jammed into an elevator and apparently got stuck. It must have been the RB’s fault. Probably put them over the weight limit. Nice to see everyone is having a good time. 🙂
