Kyle Walters changes jobs

More good news from the CFL for another former Gryphon player and coach. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced today that Kyle Walters has been appointed as Assistant General Manager and Director of Canadian Scouting. Walters moves into the Bombers’ front office after spending three seasons on the coaching staff as the team’s Special Teams Coordinator.

Walters’ Gryphon career began as a freshman member of the 1992 Yates Cup championship team and ended as a 5th year player on 1996 Yates Cup team. Walters was a 2nd round draft pick of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for whom he played for 7 years. He returned to Guelph to coach for 6 seasons before accepting the Special Teams Coordinator position in Winnipeg three years ago.
