More thoughts on the Yates semi win

Players of the Game

OFFENSE – Mike Fortino
DEFENSE –Zach Androschuk

Fortino – “the Boss Man” – has made big catches all season. None bigger than the winning touchdown in overtime.  With a defender draped all over him he caught the football eluded a tackle and ran 10 yards into the end zone. He totalled four catches for 86 yards. He also caught a 40+ yard pass that was wiped out by a penalty. Androschuk was the choice of the TheScore’s announcers as Player of the Game. Androschuk had 2 solo tackles (and the biggest hit of the game), three assisted tackles, a fumble return for a touchdown and an interception. A team captain Androschuk plays on all the special teams units. A true freshman receiver Fraser racked up big yardage as a returner including a 76-yard kick off return. He totalled 145 yards on kick offs, 43 yards on punts and added a pass reception for 10 yards.

SCOUT TEAM – Joel Mohr [receiver, JF Ross/Guelph ON]

Check out the video highlights from TheScore. My favourite remark from the commentators: “I have never … [pause] … seen a come back like this … [pause] … EVER!”
