Gryphon coaches have added another piece to the receiving core of the future with the addition of a second GHR All Star. Andrew Wilhelm, a 6’1″ 185lb receiver out of Brantford Collegiate, will play for the GHR team this spring in the 2nd annual All Star clash with the GTA. That will be his first chance to play in a Todd Galloway directed offense. [Galloway is the OC for the GHR squad.]
Wilhelm had an impressive senior season, and career, with the Mustangs of BCI. He led his team in receptions, yards from scrimmage and touchdowns. While he has primarily been a receiver throughout his career – slot and wideout – he has played safety when called upon. Wilhelm was a team captain and BCI’s MVP this season.
Wilhelm who started playing football when he was in grade six, has also played many seasons in the Brantford Bison’s organization. Wilhelm was a team captain with the JV Bisons and he played in the 2009 OVFL All Star game.
