Training camp is in the home stretch. Parents, alumni and fans are welcome to attend the practices. I hope to be back up there tomorrow and will share any news of significance on the blog.* The practices are actually much more fun to watch than most I have seen over my years in football. And there seems to be a positive vibe around that practice field.

* One player I’d like to talk to is RB Steve Lagace. Of anyone I think he would have a good perspective on what it’s been like to learn this new offense under new OC Todd Galloway. Since Lagace began his college career in 2006 he has to learn a new offence from a new Offensive Coordinator every year. He had three different OCs at Saginaw Valley State, then Joe Paopao at Waterloo, Perry Marchese last year, now Galloway. From what I’ve seen he is well suited to this new offense. I wish him the best of luck in 2011.
