The Gryphons have made further inroads into London’s large pool of football talent with the commitment of one of that city’s top LBs. Lanky and athletic, Cameron Walker of St Thomas Aquinas, along with DL recruit Matt Nesbitt, led the Flames to their third consecutive TVRAA senior final. In 2010, the 6’3″ 195lb Walker made “a strong case for being one of the best players in the conference” as the leader of the city’s best linebacking unit.
Joining the Gryphons will be Kofi Yeboah, a 6′ 245lb fullback from Brampton’s St Augustine. Kofi looks to be an old school fullback, a bruising, straight ahead runner who can either “move the pile” or drag defenders with him. Yeboah has good speed and is very nimble for a player his size. Yeboah was team captain of the Falcons and also played on their D-line. He previously played for OVFL’s Mississauga Warriors at the JV level. This powerful athlete also throws the shot put. His video highlights can be viewed on this blog’s new video player.
